Since arriving in China in the late 1980s the country’s skate scene has been growing gradually. With the rapidly growing skate-savvy youth of the city and increasing skate-tourism, Shanghai looks poised to become one of the top skating cities in the world.
On Friday night Shanghai Squared celebrated its launch with a party of endless booze and shameless promotion. Towards the end of the night as numbers dwindled and remaining guests were well mingled we found a new use for the Shanghai Squared promo stickers. Here is a video of the moment the police bust in the door to shut the remains of the party down. Talk about awkward timing.
