China's Top Censored Words

Found this interesting graphic of what keywords China censors online. They range from the obvious, facebook.com, to the surprising, disney.com. Apparently, they also censor any search results from the word evil. What’s the most absurd keyword you can find?

North Korea state-run TV broadcasts Bend it like Beckham

I just read a news report from the BBC revealing that North Korea state-run TV has broadcast a British film for the first time in the country’s history.

I assume Bend it like Beckham, originally released in 2002, was chosen as it’s completely inoffensive to anyone – some might even say bland.

Nevertheless the BBC reported that “although the original is 112 minutes long, the version broadcast was cut to 104 minutes, suggesting some editing.”

Personally, I didn’t notice the eight minutes of North Korean slander but clearly Kim Jong Il did.

Which parts of the film would you censor? Let us know below.
