Tomorrow sees Shanghai’s 11th annual international marathon. Shanghai Squared‘s own, Colin Johnson, is running all 26 miles with a predicted 18,000 other runners.

The race starts on Nanjing Dong Lu Pedestrian Street and finishes by the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Pudong. This being China, the course has been specially designed to show off the cities most impressive landmarks.

The race record was set in 2008 at two hours, nine minutes and nine seconds by Melese Gashaw from Ethopia.

Let’s see if Colin can knock a few minutes off it. Good luck.
