28 day days after the closure and what’s changed in the city?
The first thing I noticed is that Haibao’s still around although those shrubberies depicting him are looking a little less pruned. There has definitely been an increased number of street food vendors citywide. But the biggest change for me has been the security team in the metro who are now less insistent that I put my bag through the x-ray machine – something I’m very happy about.
Interesting fact: when doing some research for this blog post I noticed that the Expo’s wiki page has been blocked by China’s firewall. Any suggestions as to why?
